HOW LATE CAN I MAKE A RESERVATION?

Bookings can be made until 9pm online for the same day arrival. However if later than this you can phone us direct until 12 midnight on 07767425444. There will be no availability after this time.

Credit cards are required to secure a booking and details are held for pre-authorisation purposes. For last minute bookings, less than 48 hours before arrival, payment is taken in full and is non refundable.

HOW DO I MAKE A RESERVATION FOR A LARGE GROUP?

IS THERE A CHARGE FOR USING THE HOT TUB?

There is a charge of £10 per person or £20 per family, however if your booking has been made directly with us, via our website, or by telephone, there is no charge for the use of the Hot Tub.

If you wish to change to a direct booking, please call or email us to help you to move the booking.

We operate a Hot Tub booking system, one hour slots are bookable every hour on the hour until 10pm.  Please send us your preferred time.  If this time is already booked, we will contact you to rearrange. 

WHAT TIME IS CHECK-IN?

Check In You may check in from 15:00 until 22:00 


Check out -Standard rooms at 11am / Superior Rooms 12 midday. There is a late check out fee of £40 per hour. 


If you are due to arrive outside of the above check-in times or require arranged a late check out please contact reception 02892698710 in advance in order to inform them of your estimated time of arrival. You can contact reception by telephone or via email.

WHAT METHOD OF PAYMENT IS ACCEPTED?

Accepted credit cards: Visa / Maestro / MasterCard

Please note: We do not accept American Express! We do not accept cheque. Cash or bank transfer is possible, but a valid card must also be given for security. Euro cash may be accepted if discussed prior to arrival and our rates and transfer fees have been agreed.

CAN LISNACURRAN ARRANGE AIRPORT TRANSFERS?

We can organise a private airport transfer. Please email our reception. However, we do recommend that the airport taxis are more cost effective. Our transfer company will charge for any wait time. There is a free phone at the airport that can have a cab there in minutes.

WHERE IS THE NEAREST RAILWAY STATION TO LISNACURRAN?

The nearest stations are both Moira and Lisburn (both 10 minutes by car)

WHERE IS THE NEAREST BUS STOP TO LISNACURRAN?

The nearest bus stop is in Dromore and Hillsborough (both 5 minutes by car)

ARE THERE TAXIS THAT SERVE LISNACURRAN?

We have several local taxi and private bus firms and are happy to help with your arrangements, please get in touch to discuss by email or phone.

DOES LISNACURRAN HAVE A CAR PARK ONSITE?

We have private parking at both the front and the back of the property. It is helpful to discuss before arrival as certain rooms benefit better in one or the other. If you are staying in the Garden and Courtyard room you also must park at the rear of the property, second entrance on right. Please note, as we have restricted parking for large vehicles they should park at the rear of the property. When parking at the front please drive or reverse in a concave fashion, with nose or boot to kerb.

CAN I LEAVE MY LUGGAGE AT THE B&B BEFORE CHECK-IN/AFTER CHECK-OUT?

Luggage can be stored safely at reception until your room is ready for check-in..

WHAT IF I HAVE FORGOTTEN AN ITEM AT THE B&B?

If you find that you have left an item behind please call reception on 02892698710 with information regarding your item to enable us to locate it for you. Useful details will be the date of your stay, the number of the room you stayed in and where you think the item may have been left.

IS WI-FI AVAILABLE?

Wi-fi is available in the B&B free of charge to guests and every guestroom and The Barn has access to Wi-fi. There is no password for the connection. Email and printing facilities are available in the guest study on request.

ARE PETS PERMITTED AT LISNACURRAN?

We welcome pets, however, certain restrictions apply. Pet friendly rooms are the Garden Room, Courtyard Room and The Barn only, please request a copy of the terms. Charges and deposits apply. Click HERE for more information.

ROOM ACCESS

You will have received two keys on check in. One is for the bedroom and the other property entrance (the side right door in the main house and The Storehosue). This is how you enter and exit the main house. Guests staying in the Garden and Courtyard Room have private direct access to the room from outside and they can have a key to the main house on request. Please do not ring the front door bell after 10.30pm as guests (and children!) may be sleeping. We can be contacted on 07767 425444 or 07866 265429.

LOST KEYS

Due to the age of property our bedroom locks require a specialist to replace the cost is £65 for a call out to cut a key. Please note we may ask for a refundable key deposit to ensure safe return of keys.

SPECIFIC ROOM INFORMATION

The Oriental and Green rooms have a TV standby button at the light switch - this must be on for the TV to work. Garden Room guests please leave towels in basket in the en-suite. The Barn (Self-catering) - we do not carry out daily cleaning for self catering bookings, however please contact us if you require anything. The Pantridge room, The Garden Room and The Barn operate an electric shower, the pull cord at the door must display a red light for hot water to operate. Please place towels you wish to use again on the heated towel rail to help with Lisnacurran's environmental policy and leave used towels in the corridor, so we will know to replenish.

You are welcome to call friends and family in other rooms by dialing the numbers above. If you require assistance, please call us on 399. These phones are internal only, if you wish to make or receive external calls please arrange with Lynne or Jonathan.

ROOM CLEANING

The Housekeeper, onsite Monday to Friday. Weekend staff will arrange cleaning Saturday and Sunday. If you don’t want your room cleaned please advise at breakfast.

TEA/COFFEE

Tea and coffee making facilities are available in each room. Fresh milk is located in the fridge in the kitchenette (lower cupboard) at the guest side door in the main house. Please do not adjust the fridge setting, if moved it freezes!

USE OF GUEST DRAWING ROOM & GUEST STUDY

Please ask if you would like the fire set/lit in the guest drawing-room. Please note the TV in the guest drawing room has an integrated DVD player - access to DVD library on request. The Courtyard and Parlour rooms also have an integrated TV/DVD player.

HEATING

The heating is controlled from radiators in the rooms; however, in the event this is not working please check the thermostats, these can be found as follows:

  1. In the corridor for the Green and Oriental room.

  2. The heating dial for the Garden room is in the room's kitchenette.

  3. The heating dial to control the Parlour and Courtyard rooms is in the lobby between both rooms.

  4. The New East wing room Pantridge, Harty and Ferguson have individual room stats.

  5. The Barn thermostat can be found on the wall in first bedroom, please do not adjust control in hall.

IRONING/LAUNDRY

We offer clothes washing and drying service for a small charge, use of iron & ironing board is free of charge. There should also be a hairdryer in your room, if missing please request. We also have straighteners to borrow, again just ask please.

SMOKING POLICY

For guests' comfort Lisnacurran is strictly non-smoking. Please feel free to smoke outside, using the cigarette wall mounted ashtrays provided. Designated smoking areas are located under the steps of the Barn, at the guest side door and in the rear yard.

WHAT TIME IS BREAKFAST SERVED UNTIL?

Breakfast is served from 7-9am Monday - Friday and 7.30-9.30am Saturday & Sunday.

If you suffer from any allergies it is very important that the exact nature of such allergies is notified to us at the time of booking.

CHILD POLICY

Children are most welcome at Lisnacurran. We have a play area outside with Jungle gym, Wendy House, treehouse, swings, slide, soil pit trampoline etc. There is also a fire pit for toasting marshmallows. Feel free to ask about toy box loan, ride on toys etc. Adult supervision is required at all times.

Baby facilities on request: high chairs, cots. These can be placed in your room before arrival if requested in advance.

All children are welcome. The maximum capacity of baby cots is 1 per room unless otherwise authorised by the owners. Cots are charged at £10 and waived if your own baby bedding is brought.

ARE HEATING AND ELECTRICITY INCLUDED?

The Barn heating is included in the rate. The electric is chargeable at £20.00 for short stays and £30.00 for 6-7 days stay. Longer periods on application. This is payable on arrival.

BREAKAGES

Management may ask for a refundable room deposit against breakages this is applied at our discretion eg. peak times, groups, late check ins. We may also charge a credit card for damage caused.

CCTV /SECURITY

This is a family run guest house, we live on site and we take safety and security very seriously. Guests are reminded there is CCTV for their safety and security throughout the common areas. We also request guests please be quiet after 10pm to ensure everyone has a peaceful night.

TRANSPORT

Transport available on request in and out of Hillsborough village to restaurants, bars etc. (5mins away) Please see taxi list enclosed, staff are happy to make arrangements for you.

Bus stop directly outside the house on the main road, a timetable is on the notice board at guest side door.
